Senior Structural Building Engineer

 

Charleson Engineering Ltd. is searching for an accredited, career orientated Senior Structural Building Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities:

Providing structural engineering expertise on a variety of building design projects. Duties would include design and detailing of new building structures as well as structural alterations, renovations, and additions to existing buildings using calculations and computer modeling, site reviews and construction administration, building condition assessments and providing reports, project management. Team work is essential, and requires collaboration with drafting personnel, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with other professionals involved in projects.

Qualifications Required:

You must hold a Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited Canadian university, and be eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists of Manitoba. We are looking for an experienced structural building engineer who can work independently and take responsibility on technical matters. Our ideal candidate works well in a team environment and can complete projects efficiently. You should have a good command of both Microsoft products and AutoCAD. It is essential that you have a valid Manitoba driver's license and working vehicle for site visits both in Winnipeg and across the province. Some local travel may be required on occasion.
